Math

This year in Maths we studied topics like Shape, Place Value/Decimals, and Fractions.  The topic I learned most in was integers, i was very good in learning integers because i learnt a lot of it in primary and i was very good in primary to. I learned how to use a number line in use of temperature and to carry out addition,subtraction and multiplication The topic that I found most difficult was nothing  Next year I would like to improve on my focusing and my constant stands.

My reflection of 2021

Some of the highest points i had this year were making the year 9 volleyball team, being able to play table tennis for the school and going to a tournament,and getting excellence in almost all my tasks given to me.

  

Some of the lowest points were me being late to form class everyday day and also late to some of my normal classes.

My goal for year 10 is to go to the gym and workout more also to be able to attend the first 15 team and play for the school and to be able to make the year 10 volleyball team. Also to get way better grades.

Consumerism

 Today we viewed a video in our social studies class called 'consumerism'. The story was an animated story about environmental problems and consumers buying a lot  of needs and goods. This main massage i got from this video was to be great full for what you got don't worry about getting the new stuff because nothings wrong with what you got now. 

Film studies

This is a close up shot.

In English we have been learning  film study, you can use different types of camera shots in film studies as well. There's a lot of strategies in film studies like dialogue, props and music. The dialogue is a speech at the start of the play to inform us about the performance ..Props are the items held or used by actors onstage to make the action more realistic. The music is used to create suspense and inform us what is about to happen in the scene.All of these make your performance more interesting. Our next step in film studies is identifying different themes. 

Science Road Show

 On Monday the 21st we some amazing people come in to talk and show what science is about. The first experiment was all different types of colours morphed into a syringe and squeezed into a bowl of liquid. The second experiment was more advance, we had different types of gasses like nitrogen,oxygen,carbon dioxide so theses gasses we test to see which had the biggest explosion in the balloon , so the first  balloon had normal air the second was filled with nitrogen which had the biggest explosion overall. My favourite experiment was the honey, in the honey experiment we got to taste and guess what type of flavour, overall had a good day. 

Week 5

 Maths: In my Maths class we are learning decimals, integers, and naming fractions. 

Science: In Science we did a test on Monday about mixing and separating solutions and we are starting to do tests a lot more. We are also learning about Waves and Energy. 

Social studies: In Social Studies we learnt a lot about migration. Migration is a move from a country to another part of the world.

PE: We done a pre-test on the Coopers run and I improved. I also improved in the sit and reach, sit ups, and push ups. I haven't seen by how much but my teacher told I did better than last time. 

English: In English we've been reading a novel story about a deformed boy and his appearance.

Options: In options we been designing and learning about colours.
